Warehouse Technician (FT, non-exempt)

Job Summary:
This laborer position reports to the Warehouse Manager. Responsibilities may include any or all of the following based on experience and learning aptitude: loading and unloading trucks; moving furnishings; cleaning, repairing, painting and packaging furnishings and equipment for shipment. Requires an energetic candidate who excels in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties can include any of the following based on experience and learning aptitude:
- Load and unload trucks using forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks and/or dollies as needed.
- Repair, refurbish (paint, varnish, sand, etc) and pack furnishings to meet quality standards
- Utilize both manual and power tools to repair equipment and furnishings (service, replace parts, etc.) in a safe manner
- Maintain a neat and orderly workplace including keeping tools and supplies organized, sweeping, keeping work aisles clear and safe.
- Check-in newly received inventory according to procedure and assist with inventory storage.
- Clean warehouse floor and other areas using floor machines or other tools as needed.
- Maintain trash and recycle flow
- Assist with facility maintenance and improvements
- Utilize proper material handling techniques to ensure safety while performing job duties.
- Work with other members of warehouse team to provide feedback on pick-ups and receiving and work collaboratively to improve our customers’ experience
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Hard-working and willingness to learn new skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Comfortable using both manual and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work on feet for extended hours
Preferred (but not required) Skills and Abilities:
- Mechanical skills (reupholstery, woodwork, metalwork, painting)
- Inventory management or stocking experience
- Forklift experience
- Proficiency in Google apps and/or Salesforce
- Computer literate, comfortable using online apps for inventory management
- Experience in preparing shipments and loading shipping containers
Compensation: $18/hour plus Paid Time Off and competitive benefits package
