Personal Care Kits Initiative

The Basic Needs/Personal Care Kit project serves low-income neighbors living in many distressed communities in Western PA, reaching over forty zip codes. As SNAP and other public benefits increasingly prioritize food-only support, families are forced to make difficult tradeoffs between nutrition and hygiene. Our partners consistently report that Personal Care Kits allow families to redirect limited resources toward food, medication, and rent. Beyond meeting a basic community health need, the program supports health, dignity, employability, and self-confidence, helping individuals and families feel valued and cared for during times of hardship.

If you are an agency that provides food to the people you serve, and you are interested in learning more about providing our kits, you can contact the program manager at CommunityPartners@GlobalLinks.org

If you are interested in packing Personal Care Kits from home, please see information on how to volunteer here.
