Why Nebulizers Matter
“My Pittsburgh Steel Valley born and raised father – as well extended family like aunts and uncles – suffer from COPD. They use nebulizer breathing machines to treat their chronic or acute respiratory distress. Seniors and young children need them if they cannot use inhalers. But insurance in PA typically only covers 1 nebulizer per family every 5 years, and there is almost always a co-pay. COPD or asthma worsens every time treatments are delayed, limiting a loved one’s overall ability to manage their condition. Project Breathe Hope was born in part to meet the local community need for better access to treatment.” -Angela Garcia
