Medical equipment brings mobility and independence

Some of the supplies sent by Global Links, such as mobility aids, can help improve the quality of life for individuals not only when they are in the hospital, but also after the move back to their homes. In Icla, Bolivia, Isodoro is a 52 year old man who was hospitalized with tuberculosis and confined to a bed for many months. With the use of a walker from Global Links, he now has increased mobility and independence.

“I was feeling very bad and I thought I was going to die and I was in bed for many months. At the beginning, the nurses helped me because my family lives very far and can not always come. Now that I can move my legs, I use the walker every day and this gives me freedom, and I am happier because I know that soon I will be able to return to my house to work for my family. Thank you Global Links.”
