Since 1996, Global Link’s program in Haiti has assisted the efforts of the Hôpital Albert Schweitzer (HAS) to improve primary health care in the region.

Program Highlights

  • Improving health care by providing medical supplies and furnishings to improve the quality and accessibility of health services in the Lower Artibonite Valley region (2017-ongoing).
  • Improve the quality of life for people with disabilities throughout Haiti by providing mobility-assist devices (walkers, crutches, wheelchairs, etc.) to support their national mobility program (2013).
  • Disaster recovery response through the Help Haiti to Heal Project after the 2010 earthquake. Global Links provided medical supplies and furnishings to help health institutions recover after the earthquake (2010-2012).
  • Provided aid after the Cholera epidemic outbreak in Haiti. Global Links sent Cholera relief medical supplies to improve health access in the affected areas (2010-2011).
  • Global Links provided sterile sutures to health institutions throughout Haiti that needed them for surgery (1997-2014).
